The Royal College of Midwives (RCM) are hosting the European Midwives Association (EMA) fifth international education conference 2016 on 2nd and 3rd December 2016 in London. The EMA conference will highlight the challenges in the current provision of midwifery education and explore innovations in education and practice that can transform the learning experience of students and the quality of midwifery care provided to women and their families.
We would like to invite submissions from students who will still be students in December 2016 to act as stewards during the conference. As a steward they will need to facilitate the smooth transition of delegates from keynote sessions to concurrent sessions or workshops, act as point of contact and assist the conference committee as required. In return the RCM will pay the conference fees, subsidise accommodation for 2 nights in London and provide refreshments.
We have 8 places available and to be considered for a place each applicant will need to provide a short paragraph (no more than 200 words) as to why they would like to be a steward. They will also need to send evidence they have the support of their Head of Programme and which year of study you will be in, in December 2016.
The deadline for applications is deadline for applications 31 March and all applicants will be notified 18 April if they have been successful. Full guidelines can be found here.
